MARY'S CHURCH WALK THROUGH HISTORY

The Church of Santa Maria is a Catalan Gothic style church built on the mosque, between the late third quarter XIV and XV century.

has a single nave, no cruise, covered by six vaults and six side chapels between the buttresses IBTS. The header ends with a polygonal apse of five bays. The altar is in the Rococo style.

The temple was enlarged in the XVI and XVII with several chapels. The most important change occurred in the eighteenth century with the construction of the north tower, completed in 1713. The south tower, meanwhile, goes back to medieval times and was part of the city walls.
